Why trek with WildBoots?
Adventure is what means the most to us. At WildBoots we want to take you on adventures that help discover and challenge you, while exploring the Himalayas. We want you to experience enchanting sights of unchecked landscapes, thrills of venturing into places beyond the map, views where zooming in will not do justice – from where most people would turn back and head home. All this with an unwavering focus on ensuring that you have a safe and enjoyable adventure.
We are a small organization based in Pune and Manali comprising of professional mountaineers and outdoor enthusiasts. We are focused on providing memorable, personalized service and high quality experiences that set us apart from the many other organizations that offer the same treks.
Experienced, Qualified Team
Our Team is the foundation on which our adventures rest. We are trekkers and climbers, our competence tested and qualified by the top mountaineering institutes in the country. Rock climbing in the Western Ghats, mountaineering in the Himalayas or weeks of backpacking through remote locales, we have many experiences to share.
The local mountain folks that accompany us from time to time add their unique flavour to the WildBoots Team, with their knowledge of the local culture, local terrain and lesser known mountain trails.
Small Groups, Custom Adventures
A crucial aspect, that defines our commitment to providing a safe, enjoyable and consistent, quality experience in the mountains. We don’t like just making up numbers. The more the merrier is not an adage for the mountains. And we stand by this all the time.
Simply increasing numbers only over-burdens the local environment, increases the pressure on a team and compromises on the safety aspects. More often than not, it results in an unpleasant experience for you as well. We limit group size to 10 people but more often than not, try to keep it around 6.
Safety First, Always
‘Be Prepared’ as the Boy Scouts motto says. Safety is of utmost importance to us and no chances are taken in the mountains. We always trek with well-equipped first aid kits, climbing ropes, portable oxygen cylinders for high altitude emergencies are indispensable. More importantly, we make sure that our planning helps pre-empt adverse situations and we are always prepared should a situation arise.
Our Team is qualified in administering First Aid and trained in emergency evacuation measures in case of medical emergencies in the hostile mountain environment.
Planning & Preparation
We specialize in bespoke adventures. Spending considerable time in planning and preparing for your custom adventures, we invest in good quality outdoor equipment and arrive at the optimal logistics based on your requirements. We also help in preparing you for the outdoors with consultation on your personal clothing, gear and travel plans.
Your Commitment
We trek for long hours, up and down steep inclines, over hardened snow and ice at times – loose gravel and scree at others. As is evident by now, no walk in the park; no regular holiday this. We invest in training ourselves and maintaining our level of competence. We expect the same of you – to assess your fitness levels for the outdoors, prepare physically and mentally and maintain a ‘can-do’ attitude. Your commitment is vital to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for one and all.
